The fifth pillar of the pillars of Islām is Ḥajj. Likewise, ʿUmrah is an important Sunnah of our beloved Prophet and a regularly performed act of worship for many Muslims. This concise booklet is an ideal guide and roadmap for every Muslim who performs these two important ʿIbādāt. Along with the method of Ḥajj and ʿUmrah, this book contains many important rules, benefits, duʿās of Ḥajj and ʿUmrah, and a detailed description of the visit to Madīnah Munawwarah.

The author is a mufti and a specialist in the field of fiqh, and therefore this work is one of the authentic works in the German and Urdu languages concerning the rules of Ḥajj and ʿUmrah.

About the Author

Mufti Muhammad Ahmad (born 1972 in Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan) currently lives in Offenbach, Frankfurt, Germany, and serves as Imām, Chaṭīb, and religious teacher in Masjid Tauhid (Unity of Islam e.V.). He completed Tajwid al-Qur’an and memorisation of the Qur’an under Hazrat Maulana Qari Shabbir Ahmad Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum), the eminent disciple of Qari Rahim Bakhsh (May Allah have mercy on him), at Baqir Shah Alipur, and completed his graduation there.

Later, he completed the Department of Qur’at in the style of Shatabiya under Hazrat Maulana Qari Wali-ul-Aziz Ahsan (Damat Barakatuhum) at Jamia Islamia Imdadiya, Faisalabad. Later, he completed his religious studies under the guidance of Hazrat Sheikh Al Hadith Maulana Sheikh Nazir Ahmad Sahib (May Allah have mercy on him) at Jamia Islamia Imdadiya. Later, under the guidance of Hazrat Mufti Zahid Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum), he acquired the title of Mufti by mastering the Islamic knowledge of Ifta.

In Germany, he has made it his mission to spread the message of Islam through his books and statements, and especially to strengthen the faith of Muslims in the finality of Prophethood (peace be upon him). Alhamdulillah, at this time many Qadianis and families of Qadianis have become Muslims.

About the Translator

Mufti Muhammad Yunus Bullinger (born 1992) currently lives in Munich and works as an Imām, Chaṭīb, and religious teacher in Munich mosques. At a young age, he traveled to England to study Islām at a traditional Islamic madrasah. There he completed the Ḥifẓh and graduated with eight years of study in various Islamic sciences and the Arabic language. He then studied for three more years in South Africa and India, specializing in fiqh and hadith.

He also received the traditional Ijāzah (permission) in the various Islamic sciences from his teachers. Since his return to Germany, he has made it his mission to translate and write Islamic literature for Muslims.
